About me

I have recently graduated from Union College in Schenectady, NY with B.A.s in Music and Studio Fine Arts. I have always loved music and art and wanted those to be a big part of my life, so I am working to make this a reality.

During my four years at Union I studied voice, performance, composition and music technology. I performed in several ensembles, including the choir, chamber choir, orchestra, Japanese drumming ensemble, and the all gender a cappella group. In addition to these ensembles, I did classical vocal training, as well as vocal training in musical theatre and pop music. For my music thesis, I wrote and composed an E.P. and performed it with a band that I started and led rehearsals for. I am currently working to produce this E.P. so I can release it and feature it on this site, so stay tuned.

Since I was also a visual arts major, I studied art through various media - photography, drawing, painting, 3D design, and printmaking. I have always drawn and done photography since I was young. At the beginning of my last year at Union, I took a Plein Air Painting class which was my first painting class ever and I fell in love with oil painting. At the encouragement of my painting teacher, I pursued painting as my studio thesis. I was originally not going to be able to do an art thesis but ended up taking extra classes in my second to last term just so I could do a painting thesis. I am so glad I did because I painted a series of large abstract landscapes that I am so proud of. They are also on this site!
